Traditionally, manhole covers were removed using a pick and pure force, often resulting in worker injuries. The Camlift Tool features a distinctive “shoe” design that enables the use of lever action to lift and pull the cover from the manhole opening. This unique design eliminates the need to use a pick, resulting in fewer injuries and reducing compensation claims and lost time.

Manhole Cover Removal is Easy in All Conditions

The bottom of the shoe features a specially designed raised honeycomb mesh. This dramatically improves grip on any type of surface, including asphalt. It also provides additional security for manhole cover removal during adverse weather when roads may be covered in sand, ice or snow.

The Universal Hook that is inserted into the manhole cover fits the standard covers used by most North American municipalities and utility companies. Its unique design prevents it from slipping out of the hole on the manhole cover while the Camlift tool is in use. The lifting chain is adjustable using a specially designed high test hook to allow for manhole cover removal in a variety of settings and situations.
